Acting for God: How One Actress is Living for Jesus in the World of Film & TV

I recently had the opportunity to chat with actress, producer, and acting coach Irene Santiago.

Irene is a wife, a mom, and has been an actress for over twenty years. She has trained under such names as Robert Redford and Sally Field and was invited multiple times to attend the Sundance Filmmakers Lab in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has appeared in numerous television and film roles. You may have seen her in movies like Adrenaline, Badge of Faith, Providence and others. Or you may have seen her on television from her roles on High School Musical, Touched by an Angel, One Tree Hill and more.

Irene is also a Christian and is striving to live her life for Jesus inside the world of film and TV.

I talked with Irene about growing up Mormon and her conversion to Christianity. We also chatted about bringing such faith-based films as Adrenaline, Badge of Faith, and Providence to life and how you can be involved in supporting projects like these. She talked about her new role in a silent film called Providence, and how it was one of her biggest challenges yet. Carl Barnhill has served on staff at some of the largest churches and organizations in the country. He served as Media Director at Precept Ministries International, directing the television and radio program Precepts for Life with Kay Arthur, broadcasted to over 98 million homes around the world. He served as Video Production Director at Pinelake Church in Brandon, MS, where he produced media content for four campuses, as well as led volunteer teams.

He most recently served as Video Coordinator for Newspring Church in South Carolina. Newspring has 10 campuses across the state with a weekly attendance of over 35,000. At one campus alone, the number of consistent volunteers serving in media production tripled, under his leadership.

He currently serves as Creative Director and Owner of [twelve:thirty]media, a company that serves churches and ministries all over the world through motion graphics content and church media coaching.
