A.D. The Bible Continues

I’ve had the honor and privilege the last two years at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville to spend some time with TV and Film Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey.

Mark Burnett is a British television producer based in Los Angeles and is currently the CEO of United Artists Media Group. He is currently the Executive Producer of 11 network television series, including Survivor, The Apprentice, The Voice, Shark Tank and others. His new game show 500 Questions will be coming to ABC later this year.

Roma Downey is an Irish actress and Emmy nominated producer from Northern Ireland. You might know her from the TV series Touched by an Angel. She is also an author and producer of the children’s series Little Angels.

They have been married since 2007. They teamed with the History channel in 2013 to bring us The Bible mini-series and its feature film Son of God in 2014. They are also producing a remake of Ben-Hur for a 2016 release.

They were both obviously very excited when I spoke with them in February about their new project, A.D. The Bible Continues, which premieres tomorrow night on NBC.

Mark specifically was telling me that although its difficult to sell a faith-based project to a History Channel, or other cable network, for NBC to pick up A.D. is a huge deal.

As believers, we can definitely show our support by watching the series and help promote it.

Here are some previews and behind-the-scenes clips and interviews you can share with your team and your church:
