Chasing Grace with David Temple

The faith-based drama, Chasing Grace, was released on DVD yesterday, May 3rd.

Adapted from the novel Discovering Grace, the film was written, directed and executive-produced by, as well as stars, David Temple (The Confession – actor, The Last Passport – director/writer).

Starring Michael Joiner (The Grace Card), Rusty Martin (Courageous) and Ashlee Payne (Red Dirt Rising), Chasing Grace touches on a painful tragedy that brings to light the story of great redemption and forgiveness.

The Dove Foundation, the organization that encourages and promotes wholesome family entertainment, has already given Chasing Grace four out of five doves.

The film is loosely based upon true events from David Temple’s past, which helped make the story and characters feel more real than other faith-based films.

I recently spoke with David about bringing the film to life, tips for directing short and long form films, and more. He also gives some practical advice for intense moments in the production process and how we as filmmakers and Church Media professionals can handle these high-pressure situations.
