Live from NRB Proclaim 16

Since 2004, I’ve had the opportunity to serve alongside the Washington, DC-based staff team that organizes and executes the National Religious Broadcasters Convention. The Annual NRB Convention is the largest gathering of Christian Media professionals in the world. It attracts some of the biggest names in not only Christian Radio, Television, and Film, but also those who want the support of evangelical broadcasters, pastors, and Christian media professionals. This year, we welcomed Senator Ted Cruz and his father Rafael Cruz, Dr. Ben Carson, Rick Warren, Jon Acuff, Roma Downey, Michael W. Smith, Jordan Smith from The Voice, and others.

I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with many filmmakers, singers, speakers, and other artists to bring an exciting event to convention attendees. I have quite a few interesting stories over nearly 15 years of serving with the NRB team.

During the year, I coordinate and communicate with the nearly 50 volunteers it takes to execute the convention. My role on-site is to coordinate and direct all the volunteers to register attendees, get speakers and artists to their locations, man each event for our guests, and all kinds of other unexpected duties. It’s quite the task, and after ten 14-hour days, I am pretty wiped. But its always fun to see friends that I’ve known and seen for years, and it’s fun to learn new things and network with other media professionals.

One friend of mine at NRB is Mark Peterson from Network Communications. Mark and his team record audio from the over 50 plenary and breakout sessions at the convention. Mark was gracious enough to send me the recordings of each of this year’s sessions so that you could take a listen to some of the knowledge and insight from NRB this year.

I’ve placed short selections of the sessions below for you to listen to for free.

Order your own copy of the full recordings here.

The NRB International Christian Media Convention was held this year from February 22-26, 2016.

Be sure to check out highlights from the convention and register for next year’s event at nrbconvention.org.
